The 2025 FIBA AmeriCup for Women wrapped up in spectacular fashion, as the USA defeated Brazil 92-84 in the gold medal game to clinch the championship title. MIYAKLA BLAKES led the American side with 27 points and 6 rebounds, while JOYCE EDWARDS contributed 11 points and 7 rebounds, and HANNAH HIDALGO added 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Despite a dominant performance from DAMIRIS DANTAS, who poured in 35 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals for an index of 36, Brazil fell short. BELLA NASCIMENTO scored 24 points and KAMILLA CARDOSO chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. The USA's edge on the glass (43 rebounds to Brazil's 29) and better ball security proved decisive, with Brazil committing 17 turnovers.
